Application of Cationic PAM cationic polyacrylamide in municipal wastewater treatment plants?

Cationic PAM amine is currently the most widely used sewage treatment agent for municipal wastewater treatment. Its main raw material is acrylamide, DAC or DMC copolymer. It is synthesized by high temperature to form polymerized sewage treatment agent; we usually call it Cationic PAM. Amine, also known as cpam.


   The problem of charge value of Cationic PAM amine is often encountered in some practical applications. In the industrial treatment of some sludge cakes, the general sewage ions are negatively charged, and the positive charges of the cations can attract each other. Flocculation and precipitation occur rapidly. This also determines the great effect of the cationic positive charge.

   The charge number of the cation - the charge density of the Cationic PAM amine is a relative concept. The higher the charge density, the higher the ionicity, which determines the cation price and molecular chain length. Generally, the molecular weight of the medium-high ionic cation is not too long, that is, between 800 and 10 million, but the higher the ionicity, the tighter the clump formed by the sludge. In general, if the sludge treatment is to be applied to the filter press, the cations with high ionicity should be used, so that the filter cloth will not be clogged and the formed sludge will be tighter.

   In other words, the municipal sewage treatment plant generally uses high Cationic PAM amine, and it is recommended to use the ionicity of about 50.
