China mainly uses anionic PAM because China's anionic PAM is mainly used in the petroleum industry, mainly in secondary or tertiary oil recovery. China's water treatment development is relatively late, and development is relatively slow, so cationic PAM is also developing slowly in China.

After decades of development in China, PAM has made great breakthroughs in some areas, and some areas are in a leading position. However, China's PAM is mainly based on the low-end, which is also related to China's current historical stage, but the Chinese-made PAM can meet the actual needs of China, and the products are exported to some developing countries, along with the country. The emphasis on environmental protection, water treatment will be in a period of rapid development in the future, there will be more needs and higher requirements for the production and quality of cationic PAM. Some companies are preparing for opportunities and new challenges.

Compared with similar enterprises in China and abroad, China's output is in a leading position, and production accounts for 40% of global production. In some technologies, there is still a certain gap with foreign countries, mainly in terms of automated production, and Chinese enterprises. The scale is not large and the ability to resist risks is poor.
